Number Boxes

From the 1930s to the 1980s, much of the Company's output was presses for the production of business forms and all types of tickets, including bus tickets, lottery tickets, cloakroom tickets and cinema tickets. To print the numbers on these products, a wide range of 'Number Boxes' was produced.
The advent of computer numbering dramatically reduced the demand for number boxes and the Number Box Department which had employed about 10 people at its peak was closed in 1988 with the workforce being absorbed into other departments.
